As your organization considers its next copier lease, there is no doubt that it’s considering exactly what type of copier to get. Copiers come in all shapes and sizes, so it’s not always easy to pick out the best one for your organization’s needs. Thanks to the copier experts at ClearView Business Solutions, you can learn all about some of the best copiers in the business. Our years of experience with Toshiba systems have given us a wealth of knowledge about these products. In this article, we’ll consider a wide variety of Toshiba copiers, in no particular order.
The following copiers are all Toshiba e-STUDIO™ models. While they may look similar and share similar features, each one is a little different from the other. In this article, you’ll learn all about the number of pages per minute (PPM) that each of these copiers prints, as well as these copiers’ features and cutting-edge technologies.
We begin with the Toshiba e-STUDIO3515AC.
Where does one even begin with this beautifully-designed system? This efficient system pumps out 35 black-and-white, single-sided pages per minute. You can set the system up in many different ways. You can use:
- a reverse automatic document feeder
- dual-scan document feeders
- paper feed pedestals
- large-capacity trays, stands, a fax board and more
This modern, hyper-connected system can scan documents to an email address. Its control panel resembles a tablet, making the system easy to use for the vast majority of users. Organizations with medium to large volumes of printing should consider this system. In other words, organizations that print as much as medium- to large-sized businesses do should take a look at this system.
This copier one of the best Toshiba estudio copiers, it goes above and beyond the design capabilities of other copiers with its ability to change the control panel’s background to a custom background. It has other neat features like the ability to shortcut many common processes, like scan-to-email, with a one-touch button. This button is convenient and accessible. You can even add and remove icons to and from the control panel on this copier. That is similar to how you would add and remove icons to and from the screen of a tablet or smartphone. The control panel is essentially just like the screen on your smartphone, making it extremely familiar and easy to use.
The e-STUDIO3515AC is the family sedan of copiers, fulfilling all of a medium to large workgroup’s printing, scanning and copying needs.
This model is like the e-STUDIO3515AC (even similarly-sized), only faster, printing 50 pages per minute. This system best serves organizations with medium to large volumes of printing.
With advanced e-BRIDGE technology, the system offers:
- an embedded web browser
- 4GB RAM
- a dual-core processor
- a 320GB self-encrypting drive (SED) to power some advanced software.
This system even has a Multi-Station Print Enabler which enables users to send print jobs from their computer then complete the print job by swiping a card at the device. The Multi-Station Print Enabler supports as many as 50 devices.
This capable and productive device can handle up to 105,000 color copies a month, and up to 210,000 monochrome copies a month. This system even has a handy envelope cassette that can hold up to 60 envelopes. These envelopes are organized, fed and printed in a consistent fashion.
Like other Toshiba models, the e-STUDIO5015AC has some very advantageous security measures, such as Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) to encrypt data going to and from the device. The copier is certified to meet the Protection Profile for Hardcopy Devices (HCD-PP), so that its digital documents are safe and sound.
Also like other Toshiba systems, this system offers a full suite of cloud-based applications. Users can access Microsoft Word™, Excel® and PowerPoint® documents located in SharePoint® or OneDrive® accounts. They can then print from and scan to Microsoft’s cloud-based services by simply using a mobile device or the copier’s front panel. That is done using e-BRIDGE Plus apps like e-BRIDGE Plus for Exchange Online, e-BRIDGE Plus for OneDrive® for Business and e-BRIDGE Plus for SharePoint® Online.
Other cloud-based mobility apps include:
- e-BRIDGE Plus for Google Drive™
- e-BRIDGE Plus for OneDrive®
- e-BRIDGE Plus for DropBox®
- e-BRIDGE Plus for box™
Printing up to 25 pages per minute, the Toshiba e-STUDIO2510AC features a variety of technology to support many different advanced technological functions. This system can, for example, enable users to print online anytime. It’s ideal for small to medium volumes of printing.
For organizations seeking to staple or standard-sort their documents, a finisher coming with the copier is ideal. The 2510AC features the ability to attach finishers to it, which allow the customer to staple-sort and/or saddle-stitch and fold their documents, depending on the model of the finisher. A bridge is a unit that allows the paper to travel from the copier to the finisher. Organizations sometimes choose between an internal and external finisher based on the area of space where the copier’s placed.
This powerful machine operates at a low cost to the environment. Here are some of its certifications:
- ENERGY STAR® V2.0 certified, so it meets the highest standards of environmental friendliness.
- This copier model is even certified by the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT); it’s EPEAT Gold Registered for greener electronics in recognition of its minimal impact on the environment.
- Finally, this copier’s Typical (weekly) Electrical Consumption (TEC) value is low, meaning that its operating cost is equally low.
These high-powered, workhorse machines start out printing 55 pages per minute in color. In black-and-white, this system prints up to 65 PPM.
Other advanced technological features of this system include a 10.1-inch tablet-style touch color control panel and a scan preview feature. Of course, print and scan jobs come out with clear text. Print resolution reaches up to 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi). If that’s somehow not enough for you, then you should be pleased with the system’s automatic image quality control function.
Check out some more of this system’s impressive specifications:
- Dual-scan document feeder (DSDF) produces as many as 120 impressions per minute (IPM) simplex (on one side of a document), and up to 240 IPM duplex (on both sides of a document). A DSDF scans both sides of a document in one pass, which speeds up the scanning process.
- A universal print driver is software that allows you to print to the copier.
- 13″ x 19″ 110-lb cover support allows you to put heavier-weight cover stock on the outside of your books or booklets.
- 12″ x 18″ 140-lb index automatic duplexing allows you to print on both sides of a document without ever having to go through the trouble of putting it in the bypass tray.
- The 320GB SED encrypts the Toshiba software, keeping companies’ data safe and secure. The self-encrypting drive encrypts the copier’s IP address, company logo, address book information and any other sensitive information stored on the copier.
Much like the copiers listed above, this model packs its power and efficiency into a modern, sleek design. These black machines could very well sit in your office’s corner, in a hallway or along a wall, minding their own business until called upon to print or make copies. When used for a print job or similar job, these copiers perform the document-related tasks of your dreams, turning words or photos on your screen into a beautiful reality on paper.
