AI Agents for Small Business: What I’m Learning at the Google

Tomorrow on February 26, 2026, I’ll be at Google’s Atlanta campus for the SMB Boost Camp, an event focused on AI agents for small businesses and how they’re transforming operations in real, practical ways.

The event runs from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Google Campus Beacon Event Studio in Atlanta. The focus isn’t theoretical AI. It’s about systems that are available now to help businesses reduce bottlenecks and execute complex tasks more efficiently.

And if I’m being honest, this isn’t the easiest time for me to step away from the office.

We just moved into our new facility in Oldsmar. I’m actively working on the Rotary Club of Tampa Golf Tournament on April 20 to benefit Rotary’s Camp Florida . And we’re building ClearView’s next phase as a stronger technology partner for not only small and mid-sized, but also enterprise businesses.

If you’re new to how we approach workflow and document efficiency, you can see an overview of our document solutions here: https://www.cvbusinesssolutions.com/ai-workflow-automation-for-any-business-clearview/

What Google Is Promising

The invitation from Google outlines three major components:

The Blueprint – How to deploy AI agents that actually do the work, not just suggest it.
The Tech – A firsthand look at the Google Cloud AI stack and what fits different budgets.
The Network – Conversations with SMB leaders navigating digital transformation.

What caught my attention most is the language they used. They’re skipping the “future potential” fluff and focusing on systems that are available now.

Why AI Agents Matter for Small Businesses Now

Most small businesses or businesses in general are overwhelmed by AI conversations right now. There are chatbots, automation tools, workflow platforms, and endless software options.

The real questions business owners are asking are simpler:

  • Can AI improve my document workflows?

  • Can it reduce manual data entry?

  • Can it integrate with tools I already use like Google Workspace?

  • Is it secure?

  • Is it affordable?

  • Is it practical today?

That’s what I want clarity on.

AI agents for small businesses should not require a team of engineers. They should enhance operations, not complicate them.

Why I’m Investing the Time

There is always a reason not to travel for an event. Especially when you’re managing growth, facility changes, community commitments, and team development.

But if I want ClearView to evolve beyond hardware and into intelligent workflow solutions, I need to stay close to where the technology is being built.

Visiting Google’s Atlanta corporate office can help give me insight into cloud-based AI that we can integrate into document management, workflow automation, and operational systems for businesses here in the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

This Is Part of a Larger Conversation

This post is the first in a four-part series:

  1. Why I attended Google’s AI event

  2. What Google is actually building with AI agents

  3. What this means for document workflow automation

  4. Where small businesses should focus, and where they shouldn’t

If you’re a business owner in Tampa Bay trying to understand how AI agents for small businesses could apply to your operations, follow along.

This is Part 1 of a 4-part series on AI agents and workflow automation.
